Kimber's 5th Birthday

Kimber is FIVE, where did my little girl go? She is starting to read, and she can read her BOB books quite well. The other day she saw Taylor studying for a spelling test, so Kimber wanted to have one. I made a spelling list that she had to study all day. The words were hat cat rat, and so forth. At the end of the day she had the test and she got 100%. Good job Kimber.
She tells me that when she grows up she wants to be a "nail saloner". She wants to do people's nails. She told me she would want to be a mommy but she doesn't want to have the baby cut from her, that would hurt too much. I am not sure where she go that idea from.
The other night I was putting the kids to bed, and they were not listening, so I thought I might try something different to get them to listen. I started to tell them that I guess they didn't want to go to the park, or watch tv tomorrow, and stuff like that. Anyways Kimber started to cry a bit and then said 'mommy you are starting to sound like a Step mom." I guess she watches too many Disney shows. For her birthday she wanted to have a Jaguar cake. She then had a party at the park near the beach. We played games, played on the park, had cake and then a couple people ended up at the beach. It was a fun party, and Kimber felt very loved.
